Marvin T Glass

I have been in the welding arena from a very young age. I was about 9 or 10 when I used my first chipping hammer. Every weekend and most nights were spent under the expert tutorage of my father building just about everything and anything made out of metal. This continued until I graduated school.

My father was a traveling salesman for K. N. Aronson and was tired of corporate America and wanted to stay at home more so he bought a small welding supply store.  After my two years of electronics training we were in business.

5 years later I needed more adventure, I joined the U.S. Navy and got another year worth of advanced electronics training including systems analyst training. (Very helpful in diagnosing complete systems and processes.

After the navy I was employed with various companies in the aircraft industry as an avionics tech.

Then back to the real work in welding equipment repair for welding supply companies as service managers. (I have always loved the idea of the alchemy of cutting and welding metal with fire and gas. It almost seems magical to me.)

When I had learned all that they could teach me I got a position as field service tech for Koike Aronson Co Inc. This was a great adventure and worth every second spent there. I have traveled around the world with them repairing machines and I have fixed every one I set out to fix. Koike got hit hard after the Sept.11 Attack. (Koike sent a pile of new scrap cutting torches and tips to the clean-up effort in NYC)

 I could see the writing on the wall.

CMRC is born.
